Privacy Policy

Overview

This privacy policy applies to the TipShare app, published by Avila Apps LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We collect only what's necessary to provide the service and do not sell or share your personal data for advertising purposes.

Information We Collect

Information you provide:

• Phone number — used to create and authenticate your account via Firebase Authentication
• Your name — entered during account setup to personalize your experience
• Job and workplace names — entered by you to organize your shifts
• Shift data — tips earned, hours worked, shift type, and earnings you log
• Tax preferences — income range, filing status, state, and set-aside percentage

Collected automatically:

• Location — with your permission, TipShare uses your device's location to show anonymous community tip averages for venues near you. We use your approximate location only while you use this feature, and you can deny or revoke it anytime in your device settings.
• Basic usage data collected by Firebase (Google) as part of authentication and database services
• In-app purchase records processed by Apple — we do not store payment information

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To store and sync your shift and earnings data
• To show community tip averages near your location (when you enable location access)
• To calculate estimated tax set-asides based on your preferences
• To restore your Pro subscription if you reinstall the app
• To respond to support requests

Community Tip Data

TipShare shows anonymous, aggregated tip averages so you can compare your earnings with other workers at similar venues. When this feature is enabled, your shift and venue data may be combined with data from other users in anonymized, aggregated form to produce these averages. A venue's average is only shown once at least three separate reports exist for it, so no single person's earnings can be identified. This aggregated data is statistical only and cannot be traced back to you. We never share your individual shift records, name, or phone number with other users. You can turn off this contribution at any time in the app's Settings.

Third-Party Services

We only share user data with third parties who provide the same or equivalent protection of your data as described in this privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with any party that does not meet these protections. Avila Apps LLC has no parent, subsidiary, or related entities with access to your data.

Data Storage & Security

Your shift data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your account via Firebase Firestore. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data directly within the app at any time: go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all data synced to our servers.

You may also request deletion by emailing avila.apps.llc@gmail.com with the subject "Delete My Account." We will process emailed requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

TipShare is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us immediately if you believe we have done so.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
